Waukesha Man Arrested for Assault of Sheriff's Deputies

A Waukesha man was arrested Monday night after he assaulted sheriff's deputies resulting in injuries. A deputy on patrol pulled the man over around 7pm monday night because the deputy suspected he was driving impaired, the man argued with the deputies and wouldn’t listen to commands. While the deputy waited for backup to arrive the man got out of his car and assaulted the deputy. According to sheriff officials during the altercation the deputy suffered a cut to his forearm and bruising to his head, hip and knee. The man continued to fight even after the arrival of the other deputies causing a knee injury to a second deputy. 3 different police departments were called in to assist in arresting the man who was eventually restrained, the man was not injured in the fight. He was charged on suspicion of substantial battery, batter to a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and attempting to disarm a peace office. He’s currently being held in Waukesha county jail.
