Last night at the Walworth County Board of Supervisors meeting, they approved a resolution authorizing the use of prior year vendor refunds to increase the information technology 2022 budget for digital technology software solutions. The returned funds create an opportunity to implement proposed technology sooner than originally planned, which will further leverage the County’s website by both employees and residents of Walworth County. Specifically, the money will be utilized to purchase and implement an add-on software module for the current County website platform, providing a significant shift to modern, secure online services. The cost of the software and implementation is anticipated to be $19,922, and the ongoing maintenance cost in future years is expected to be $17,325, which can be partially offset with a potential reduction in the number of professional Adobe software licenses across the county.
