According to an update from the Village of East Troy, after the 2020 Census, the state redistricting for Legislative and Congressional Districts has impacted the Village of East Troy. The Village now has 8 wards instead of 6, and there are changes for state and federal representatives, depending on the ward.
Wards 1 – 6 are now represented by Congressional District 5, State Senate District 28, Assembly District 83, and Walworth County Supervisor District 1. (Walworth County Supervisor District remained the same.)
Wards 7 - 8 are now represented by Congressional District 1, State Senate District 28, Assembly District 83, and Walworth County Supervisor District 1. (The Congressional District and Walworth County Supervisor District have remained the same.)
Beginning with the August 9th Partisan Primary Election, Village of East Troy voters will receive a ballot based on their ward. With the two Congressional Districts within the Village, some voters will receive a different colored ballot from other residents. Any questions may be directed to the Clerk’s office at 262-642-6255.
