Starting on Monday (May 22), the Elm, Oak and Roosevelt reconstruction project will start. The roads will be closed except to local residents, and street parking will be limited. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by September.
This project will impact these areas: • 700 block of Elm Street • 700 block of Oak Street • 500 block of Roosevelt Avenue
The project will replace an existing undersized water main with a new 8-inch main and replace any lead laterals from the main to the valve box at the property line. New pavement, curb and gutter, driveway aprons, and ADA compliant curb ramps will be put in during construction.
Residents will have access to their driveways throughout project, except when driveways are poured, which takes two weeks for the concrete to cure. Residents will be given notice before the water main is turned off and before their driveway is under construction.
Questions about the project can be directed to Dennis Weiland at (608)364-5737 or WeilandD@BeloitWI.gov.
