This week at the Milton Common Council meeting, they amended an ordinance regarding Mobile Businesses. The current ordinance does not provide guidance on businesses that are visiting the City for a limited amount of time less than six months and does allow nonprofits to set up a mobile business without a license. Licenses cost $300 for 6 months or $500 for a year. Now, licenses will no longer be required and site plans do not have to be submitted when mobile businesses operate at a public location. However, mobile businesses must not sell alcohol, hours of operation are limited to the hours of 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Saturday, and mobile businesses must comply with Section 50-72 regarding loud and unnecessary noise.
