Lake Geneva Woman Charged Again With Identity Theft

A Lake Geneva woman has been charged with spending more than 20 thousand dollars in fraudulent charges in Walworth county court. Heather Faust is accused of using various financial cards in someone else’s name and was charged with 4 counts of identity theft for financial gain and one count of theft of more than $1,000 thousand dollars between April 2018 and January 2019. Faust is accused of using cards from Kohl’s charging over 900 dollars, Best Buy charging over 6 thousand dollars, a debit card with over 15 thousand in charges , discover card with over 2 thousand in charges and others, she also stole $1,300 dollars from a wallet of someone else she knew. Faust has permission to use the debit card for certain items including groceries but the charges went well beyond that and she told police she had permission to make the purchases she did. Faust was convicted in 2019 of the same charges and sentenced to 40 days in jail and three years probation after spending more than 2 thousand on a victims debit card. There was no word on why these charges are coming a year after the 2019 case but Faust is scheduled for her initial court appearance on June 8th.
