Johnson Creek School District Moves Start Date for 4K Students

According to an update from the Johnson Creek School District, this year they will be moving the start date for 4K students only to Tuesday, September 6. All other students will begin on Thursday, September 1. The 4K program runs Monday through Thursday, and the district has moved the 4K start date to give 4K students a more consistent start to the new school year, as well as extra time to meet their teachers during one on one conferences before September 6. This year, in place of Open House for students entering 4K in the fall, 4K will be offering "Ready, Set, Go" conferences for 4K students and their families. These conferences will be scheduled in 15 minute increments and will serve as an opportunity for families of 4K students to meet one on one with teachers and become familiar with the classrooms, teachers, and 4K expectations. Conferences can be scheduled with each student’s individual teacher and will take place during the evening hours of August 30 (Miss Katie) and August 31 (Miss Kelly) or during the day on September 1 (Miss Katie and Miss Kelly). Once class lists are finalized, your student's 4K teacher will reach out to you to schedule a "Ready, Set, Go" conference. These conferences are only being held for students entering 4K this fall.
