Janesville Police are looking for the public's help with finding a motorcycle driver who led police on a chase Saturday night. Officers were conducting traffic enforcement on Milton Ave, one of the officers was operating a stationary laser that tracked the speed of vehicles when he observed a motorcycle driving around 60-70 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone. Officers initiated a traffic stop but the driver refused to stop and continued north on Milton Ave at a high rate of speed and since it was such a high traffic area the pursuit was later terminated. The motorcycle was a dark colored sports bike with a regular Wisconsin license plate which was mounted horizontally underneath the cowl cover and appeared to be old. The driver appeared to be male, average build, wearing a red hood sweatshirt with no visible writing or decals on the back with an all black motorcycle helmet which had a full face shield and no decals or large designs on it. If anyone has any information about the driver of the motorcycle please contact the Janesville police department at 608-755-3100, crime stoppers or the p3tips app.
