A Janesville man was arrested after making threats with a gun to a family on the ice age trail according to a JPD news release. Officers responded to the northwest side of the ice age trail after a family walking on the trail including a dog and a month old baby when the suspect approached them about their unleashed dog. As the man tried to secure the dog the suspect took out a handgun and pointed it at all of them threatening to kill them, he then left on foot. With the help of rock county sheriff deputies and golfers at the riverside golf club the suspect was apprehended near the pavilion at the entrance to Riverside Park still in possession of the gun. Thomas Baker was arrested and charged with three counts of Recklessly endangering safety, no court date has been set.
