Out of Green County, involving a domestic incident where a family member was shot at by a 35-year-old male, triggered an overnight search, and a Shelter-In-Place order. The individual has been found and considered "found safe" as a Green Alert was also issued for the man at the same time. Paul Michael Anderson was considered a veteran at risk after last night’s incident on Hay Hallow Road in Blanchardville. Sheriff’s officials said alcohol and a gun were involved in the incident. After four hours of negotiating over a phone, Anderson was arrested at his home in York Township. Anderson was not armed when arrested.
ORIGINAL STORY POSTED A domestic incident on Hay Hollow Rd in Green County had Deputies in Green County working throughout the night. Just before 7:00 last night (5/17) a 35-year-old male allegedly fired a weapon at a family member in the York Township. No one has been reported injured during the incident. The suspect fled into heavily wooded area. A-Shelter-In-Place was ordered and was lifted at 7:00 this morning (5/18), but the suspect remains at large.
Several drones have also been used in the search, but authorities have been unable to find the suspect. Green County Deputies will remain in the area of York Township. Residents should immediately call 911 if they see or hear any unusual activity. It is anticipated that the suspect will be facing charges of 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Intentionally Pointing a Firearm, Disorderly Conduct while Armed, Disorderly Conduct and Armed while Intoxicated when he is located.
