Gov Evers announced Friday that Wisconsin had received around 210 thousand masks from the Twaiwanese government and international businesses in response to the COVID 19 pandemic. All masks will go to healthcare and public safety professionals and the PPE equipment is the latest donations from groups including Snap on tools, ND Paper and the Wisconsin Humane Society. Gov Evers said they will continue to pursue every available avenue to equip the frontline responders so they can keep the communities safe and healthy. 6.1% of new COVID 19 tests came back positive Sunday which comes a day after the percentage of new cases rose to 8% on Saturday. In total 12,580 people have tested positive with 16% or 2,038 needing hospitalization, 139,674 have tested negative for COVID 19 and 6,786 have recovered from the virus. The DHS is reporting no new deaths on Sunday which is the first time since March 29th that there were no new deaths in a 24 hour period. Rock County reported 429 total cases, Jefferson reported 60 positive cases and Walworth County reported 280 positive cases. According to the DHS even with the positive test rate rising to 8% there is still a 14 day downward trend in the percent of new tests coming back positive and 4 of the 6 criteria included in the Badger Bounce back program have been met.
