City of Janesville 2022 Budget Applauded at State of the City Address

Last night the City of Janesville held its State of the City Address. In fall of 2021, the 2022 Budget was submitted with no draws from the Fund Balance. For about 22 years previously, the city has had to pull money from the Fund Balance to make the budget work. Additionally, the city’s Finance Department completed the 2020 audit, which found no significant deficiencies or misstatements for the fourth year in a row.
