In a press release from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, they have announced the retirement of Chief Deputy Jeffrey A. Parker. Parker started his career with the Sheriff’s Office in July of 1990 and began working in the Jail Division. In January of 1997, he was promoted to Jail Sergeant. He maintained this position until January of 2003, when he was selected as Sergeant to take over the newly formed Support Services Division.
Chief Deputy Parker was promoted to Captain in January of 2006, and was assigned to Patrol Division. In January of 2008, he was transferred to the Jail Division as a Captain. His next promotion came in December of 2008, when he was promoted to Chief Deputy.
