According to a press release from Whitewater democrat Brienne Brown, she has declared her candidacy for the Wisconsin State Assembly in District 31. District 31 includes the Walworth County portion of Whitewater, Whitewater Lake, Elkhorn, Darien, Richmond, Clinton, and eastern Beloit. Brown is currently completing her second term on the Whitewater Common Council and serves as the council representative for the Library Board, Plan Commission, and Equal Opportunities Commissions. Brown has worked as the Program Director for the Whitewater Community Foundation, and served on the board for Downtown Whitewater.
