Beloit Man Charged With Gun & Drug Charges After Shooting Himself

A Beloit man who during a night of drinking shot himself in the leg and now faces multiple gun and drug charges. David Clark was drinking and attempted to take his revolver out of the holster when the gun fired and entered his right thigh and exited below the knee, he then called police about the shooting around midnight. Clark was taken to the hospital and questioned by police, they also searched his home and found around 12 grams of marijuana and evidence of narcotic mushroom cultivation. He faces charges of manufacture/deliver psilocin, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of THC second offense, possession of a firearm while intoxicated, possession of drug paraphernalia and bail jumping. The Bail jumping is from a January 2019 incident where he was charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
